About 1 hour from the international airport and 5 km north of Ubud is the compound of Villa Naga. "Naga" means dragon, an auspicious sign of the Chinese zodiac. The house is designed by Dutch architect, Joost van Grieken using traditional Balinese and Javanese building materials in a very modern minimalist style. The house has been written up in a number of books and architectural magazines as part of the new Bali school of architecture. The long stretched piece of land gives far views over the Wos River - valley, is mainly facing the east, the direction of the sun and moonrise.

The modern designed pavilions were completed in spring 2001 and consist the following. From the entrance pavilion a walkway leads through a lush garden to the central courtyard. Here is the access to main pavilion from where you can experience your first stunning views over the valley.

In this long-house style pavilion the open dining space is accommodated, together with 2 spacious bedrooms. In between the entrance from the gallery to the bedrooms is a private comfortable sitting area located.

Villa Naga Rooms

Via the dining area, walking over stepping-stones of the main focus fishpond, one reaches the large living pavilion, where the kitchen and the staff quarters are housed. While traditional Balinese and Javanese materials are used throughout, the pavilions with the thatched roofs appear to be modern, so is most of the furniture.By using limited selection of materials Joost enhances the simplicity and purity of the house. Lombok grasses form the thatch of the roof, but bengkerai wood is used in the roof framework, as well as for all the door and window fittings, and the octagonal load bearing columns; the latter are supported by resilient Javanese white stone. All decorative and art works have been collected by the owner during trips all over Asia. The lighting in the pavilions and gardens create another serene atmosphere during the evenings.

In addition, custom made ivory and polished cement tiles make elegant statements in all pavilions, while the walls are either finished in cream-color sandstone or plastered and painted in Canton green or Tuscan terracotta. Each bedroom has a king size bed, a separate dressing area, a bathroom with an attached open outdoor patio with a freestanding bathtub and shower. Ceiling fans cool the 2 double bedrooms.

RATES
Private Villa daily rental rates are quoted in United States dollars (USD's). Rates quoted maybe subject to change. The majority of private villas have a premium for high season dates. Some villas offer special rates for stays of 14 nights or more or last minute bookings usually 14 days prior to the arrival date. All rates include airport transfer.

Seasonal periods:
Low Season: January 09 - June 30 l September 16 - December 19 (except chinese new year, easter week)
High Season: July 01 - 31 l September 01 - 15 l Chinese New Year l Easter week
Peak Season: August 01 - 31 l December 20 - January 08

Minimum stay required:
Low Season : 3 nights
High Season : 5 nights
Peak Season : 7 nights

The villa standard check in/out time:
- Check-in time : 14:00
- Check-out time : before 12:00 
- In case late check-out until 18:00 will charge additional cost at 50% from one night villa rate, and full one night rate should be charge for check-out after 18:00.

Booking term and condition:
- A 50% deposit from the total rental value is required due to secure the booking.
- Deposits must be received by the villa within 5 working days after the relevant 
invoice has been sent and otherwise the booking we assumed is NOT materialized.
- The payment should be in US Dollars 
- The balance of payment is required to settle at 30 days prior arrival date for low season booking, 45 days for high season and 60 days for Christmas/New Year bookings.
- The reservation to be confirmed when the payments is received by the villa.
- For last minute bookings (within 1 week or less) then full payment upon arrival in cash is acceptable.

Cancellation Policy:
- Deposits will be refunded in full less USD 250.00 if the reservation 
is cancelled at 61 days or more prior to arrival date(91 days for Christmas/New 
Year bookings).
- In the event a reservation is cancelled less than 61 days 
prior to arrival (or 91 days for Christmas/New Year bookings) the deposit 
will be forfeited.
- Notice of cancellation must be received by the villa in writing.
- Final payments are non-refundable.

GUEST RESPONSIBILITIES
Guest are responsible for any damage to the villa property or for any extra charges incurred. We will please ask you to settle all outstanding payments or damage repayment before departure.

GUEST REGISTRATION
As part of the local requirements, all villa and hotel guests in Indonesia need to be registered with the local authorities within 24 hours of arrival at their destination. A nominal cost of around Rp. 25,000 per person is charged. This is a very simple procedure and involves the following:
1. The Villa Staff will take a photocopy of each guest's passport shortly after arrival at the villa.
2. A registration form will need to be filled out & signed by each guest
3. These papers will then be taken to the immediate village registration office

CANCELLATION POLICY:
- Deposits will be refunded in full less USD 150.00, if the reservation is cancelled 61 days or more prior to arrival (91 days for Christmas/New Year bookings)In the event a reservation is cancelled less than 61 days prior to arrival (or 91 days for Christmas/New Year bookings) the deposit will be forfeited.
- Notice of cancellation must be received by the villa on writing

VILLA CAPACITY
We strictly observe the villa capacity policy. 2 bedroom maximum occupancy is 4 persons. If you wish to have additional guests we must get informed in advance.

AIRPORT TRANSFERS
Your driver will meet you at the airport at Bali's International Airport Ngurah Rai. He will await you outside the arrival door straight after you have passed through customs. The driver will hold up your name and he will assist you with your luggage and will escort you to your vacation villa.

INSURANCE
We strongly recommend that you take out a comprehensive insurance to protect you and all those that accompanying you for the full time of your visit against illness, injury, death, loss of baggage and personal items, cancellations and other travel contingencies. We also strongly recommend a health insurance that covers medical evacuation for emergencies.
