Home Stays For Sail Wakatobi Belitong 2011

In Belitong, Bangka Belitung province, now there are about 50 home stays or houses for rent to tourists. Home stay is required especially in the arena of “Sail Wakatobi Belitong” (SWB) 2011.

According to the Head of Babel Diskominfo KA Tajuddin, the hotel rooms available is not enough to accommodate SWB 2011 visitor. Therefore, he appealed to people Belitong who rents his house to stay can improve services.

“Give good service to SWB visitors and participants,” he said in Pangkalpinang, Sunday (09/10/2011). He explained that the business of home stay is experiencing an increase in activity during SWB 2011.

“Currently, activity SWB ongoing exhibition of handicraft products, traditional foods, arts and culture that spread across the provinces in Indonesia,” he explained.

He said these activities become as a venue for investment and promotion of cultural and marine tourism. In addition, it hoped through this event can enhance domestic and foreign tourist visits to Belitong.

“International maritime activity is certainly good for national economic development, area and would enhance the welfare of the citizens along with the increasing tourists visiting the area,” he said.

Local governments, he added, continues to conduct training of human resources (HR), guidance and knowledge to the public or prospective owner of Business Management Tourism Home Stay on how management and the requirements of a good home stay.

“This is a form of local government support in coaching and business development support homestays, and provide administrative guidance, and technical services to employers of home stay,” he said.

SWB 2011 is an international event that has been held on 6 to 13 October 2011. Peak of the event scheduled to be attended by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono to watch the rally off the ship at once yacth.

The rally followed yacth ship 120 units from 20 countries. In addition there is the underwater chess competitions and other international activities.
